The Poet of Poets

Date: February 25th 2014
Location: Blackwell's Bookshop, Oxford
Admission: Free

If a group of famous poets were in a balloon that’s about to crash and you could only save one, who would you save? Join us for an evening of powerful poetry, where a panel of experts will be fighting for the chance to prove their favourite poet should be crowned the ‘Blackwell’s Audience Poet of Poets’.  Professor Lucy Newlyn will defend Wordsworth, Professor Katherine Duncan-Jones will be discussing Shakespeare and Wilfred Owen will be championed by Professor Jon Stallworthy. The evening will be chaired by Dr Jane Potter.

Tickets for this event are free. Please email events.oxford@blackwell.co.uk to book a place or visit the bookshop for your free ticket.

Tuesday, February 25th at 19:00 - 20:00
