Lost copies of The Hydra found

March 19th 2014    Category: General

Three copies of "The Hydra", the magazine of Craiglockhart War Hospital, which Owen edited during his time there, have finally been discovered.

Edinburgh Napier University established a War Poets Collection in 1988, but until now the permanent exhibition has relied on photocopied copies of "Hydra" supplied by Oxford University.

However, edition number 6 dated 7 July, 1917 is still missing - even Oxford University does not have this.  If you have a copy, please get in touch - woa@1914-18.co.uk.
