Dr Jean Moorcroft Wilson will present a fascinating talk on the iconic English poet and World War I soldier Siegfried Sassoon. Her new book brings together previous work and recently discovered material which will raise intriguing questions regarding the art of biography. As the country prepares to honour the sacrifices of the Great War generation in the centenary year 2014, this event will spotlight Sassoon’s life, his poetry and the historical context.
